Christmas contract for YOU

Christmas contract for YOU

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral, celebration of the summer solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.

I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make The Netherlands great (not to imply that The Netherlands are necessarily greater than any other country), and without regard to the race, creed,
colour, age, physical ability, religious faith, or sexual preference of the wishee.

By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms:
This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/himself or others, and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher.
This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher.

So in conclusion: HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND A GREAT 2010

Comfort Zone and Flow, is it like CSC and ORS?

Hi fellow readers,

Here's a nice one for you to think about: Comfort Zone and Flow, is it like CSC and ORS?

Comfortzone
I was wondering about the relation between being in your comfort zone and being in your flow......
My point of view with being in your comfort zone is safe, comfy and at ease or to take it a step further....it is for me a sort of CSC, it is your own Closed environment you can be very Selective because it's only you in it, and it is Controlled, only you can stretch and bend your comfort zone any way YOU want....

Flow
Now you are in your flow, and for me that is compatible with ORS, when in my flow I am Open to all things that come to me on the fly sort of speak. It comes to me in a Random way, all the input from outside and inside on- and offline. And when I am in MY flow I am Supportive to everything that develops from it.......

Short Summary
In my case I need to be in my comfort zone (CSC) to get in my flow (ORS).....hmmm think with me about that one for a bit.....let it sink in......
I am ORS all the way but I need this CSC connection to get the flow......

Is there a strong connection or do I just need to explore more?
How would you name this state of questioning?
and
Do you have it to?

Let me know your findings........

My FUN in SERIOUS Business explained: (PART 2 of 2)

What I love to do, what people pay me to do and what I am good at:
"THE GOOD STUFF" (picture :HERE)

For me that is basic Change Management.
Here I want to share with you some of the basic rules for effective change management.
Managing organizational change will be more successful if you apply these simple principles. Achieving personal change will be more successful too if you use the same approach where relevant.
Change management entails:
- Thoughtful planning;
- Sensitive implementation
and above all,
- Consultation with and involvement of the people affected by the changes.

This also means the people in the higher management layers.
Experience learns that if you force change on people normally problems arise. Change must be realistic, achievable and measurable.
These aspects are especially relevant to managing personal change.

If you are looking at starting an organizational change, ask yourself the following questions:
- What do we want to achieve with this change?
- Why and how will we know that the change has been achieved?
- Who is affected by this change?
- How will they react to it?
- How much of this change can we achieve ourselves?
- What parts of the change do we need help with?

These aspects also relate strongly to the management of personal as well as organizational change.
If you want more information, give me a call or send me a mail.

My FUN in SERIOUS Business explained: (PART 1 of 2)

What I love to do, what people pay me to do and what I am good at: "THE GOOD STUFF" (picture on my profile HERE)
For me that is Change Management and it starts with a basic method I use called 5S.

5S explained:

The 5S Method. Originating from the Japanese car industry, 5S is by now considered globally the major basis for professional production; from a streamlined work environment to an effective process and production security. The direct result: lower costs, increased efficiency, a better product and a motivated staff.
With the 5S Method you perform an accurate analysis of the entire production process. 5S lays the foundation for team work, standardization and discipline - and thereby, for further improvements. In your organization as well!
A thorough and sustainable quality improvement? This can be done with the 5S Method.
This will provide you with crystal-clear insights into the bottlenecks and challenges. It enables you to optimise the working methods together with your staff. This way, 5S lays the foundation for team work, standardization and discipline - and thereby, for further improvements. In your organization as well!

Never Forget

Never Forget : Never Forget

Your presence is a present to the world.
You're unique and one of a kind.
Your life can be what you want it to be.
Take the days, just one at a time.
Count your blessings, not your troubles.
You'll make it through, whatever comes along.
Within you are so many answers.
Understand, have courage, be strong.
Don't put limits on yourself.
So many dreams are waiting to be realized.
Decisions are too important to leave to chance.
Reach for your peak, your goal and your prize.
Nothing wastes more energy than worrying.
The longer one carries a problem, the heavier it gets.
Don't take things too seriously.
Live a life of serenity, not a life of regrets.
Remember that a little love goes a long way.
Remember that a lot . . . goes forever.
Remember that friendship is a wise investment.
Life's treasures are people . . . together.
Realize that it's never too late.
Do ordinary things in an extraordinary way.
Have health, hope and happiness.
Take the time to wish upon a star.
And don't ever forget . . .
For even a day . . .
How very special you are.

IDIOT SIGHTINGS.........

Sighting #1:
I was at the airport, checking in at the gate, when the airport employee asked, "Has anyone put anything in your baggage without your knowledge?" I said, "If it was without my knowledge, how would I know?" He smiled and nodded knowingly, "That's why we ask."

Sighting #2:
The stoplight on the corner buzzes when it is safe to cross the street. I was crossing with an intellectually challenged coworker of mine, when she asked if I knew what the buzzer was for. I explained that it signals to blind people when the light is red. She responded, appalled, "What on earth are blind people doing driving?"

Sighting #3:
At a good-bye lunch for an old and dear coworker who is leaving the company due to "down-sizing," our manager spoke up and said, "this is fun. We should have lunch like this more often." Not another word was spoken. We just looked at each other like deer staring into the headlights of an approaching truck.

Sighting #4:
I worked with an Individual who plugged her power strip back into itself and for the life of her could not understand why her system would not turn on.

Sighting #5:
When my husband and I arrived at an automobile dealership to pick up our car, we were told that the keys had been accidentally locked in it. We went to the service department and found a mechanic working feverishly to unlock the driver's side door. As I watched from the passenger's side, I instinctively tried the door handle and discovered it was open. "Hey," I announced to the technician, "It's open!"

"I know," answered the young man, "I already got that side."
